    • After Session 1: First Steps
Welcome! This thread is for all the newbies who just signed up for the Transformation Course and are taking those first (and scariest) steps. Anyone who’s been there, done it, and got the T-shirt is also welcome to leave some advice and words of encouragement here. Let’s do this!

    • After Session 5: Identity and Inner Healing
This is a thread for sharing our personal stories, the emotional wounds that have been driving our behavior, and how we’re healing those wounds. We want this to be a safe space for support and encouragement, so please be extra kind to each other. Our hope is that by reading other peoples’ stories, we will see that everybody is broken – but we all have the power to heal and love ourselves.

    • After Session 6: ACT Techniques
ACT is a psychological model that gives us useful techniques like Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Committed Action. All these frameworks help us navigate the messy reality of life and relationships as well as the difficult, uncomfortable thoughts we all wrestle with. If you’ve got useful tips to share, or you’re getting hooked on unhelpful thoughts and looking for advice, you’re in the right place!

    • After Session 7: Managing Difficult Partners
This is a thread for anybody whose significant other has been difficult or even abusive. At times, that could be all of us! We’ll talk about how to best handle those situations, and when it’s best to walk away for your own health and happiness. PLEASE NOTE: This is a place to share experiences and advice, NOT to incriminate, smear, humiliate, or otherwise harm someone. DO NOT SHARE any names or identifying details. Any posts that break these rules will be immediately removed.

    • LGBTQ+ Thread
It’s a little known fact that domestic violence and abuse affect LGBTQ+ couples as much as straight ones. Chances are if you identify as LGBTQ+ and you want to make changes to your behavior, you’re struggling to find resources and community to help you on your mission. You may also be dealing with unique and specific traumas that have affected your journey. Anybody who identifies as LGBTQ+ and is working on changing their abusive behavior is most welcome here.

    • Men’s Thread
Owning up to our bad behavior and deciding to make a change is one of the most difficult things anyone will ever have to do. Men especially can face challenges related to the stigma and stereotypes of being abusive or navigating a court system that is often weighted against us. Here you’ll find community and a place to share stories, questions, and advice. This thread is open to anybody who identifies as a man/male.

    • Reconciliation in Your Relationship
Getting back with our spouse or partner is often the finish line we have in mind when we first start our journey. However, when we get close to crossing that finish line, things can get tricky. What should you and your partner think about before reconciling or while you’re working toward that end goal? We’ll dig into all that here.

    • The God Factor
For many of us, developing a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the key that unlocks a healthier, happier, abuse-free life. We’ll talk about our journey here.  By the way, if you’re not Christian, but you have another religious practice (or none at all!), please feel free to join in and share your experiences. The Ananias Foundation is a Christian organization, but we are absolutely open to people from all faiths and practices. We know faith and spirituality is one of the most powerful elements in people’s transformations.

    • Veterans’ Thread
Many of us who have been in the armed forces come home to a very different and often challenging lifestyle – not to mention the trauma we may carry from witnessing combat first-hand. Despite our best intentions we may find ourselves behaving in hurtful ways toward those we love most. If that’s you, then this is a supportive, non-judgemental space to share your story, ask questions, and lend a helping hand to others.

    • Women’s Thread
Too often, women are told they are the victims, not the perpetrators of abuse. Still, for those who’ve identified that their behavior is a problem and needs to change, it can be next to impossible to find good guidance, advice, and support from others on the same journey. Well, you’ll find it here. We welcome anyone who identifies as a woman/female to ask questions and share advice here.
