I too, have time outs as my go to, however I did not know it a real strategy. Would chuckle and tell myself, “ I am putting myself in time out!” So avoid situations.

I am glad to hear about this, it reminds me of Jesus find a quiet place to hear from God.

I guess this what walking can do for me, while releasing the built up anxiety from a toxic situation or conversation.

I knew I would be responsible for my reaction from my thoughts, so I chose to quickly exam my that’s and my potential reaction in a second of time. So I can make the right decision for my future, and I did. Now, their actions are on them to live with, or not. I was hurt, embarrassed, disrespected and wanted to react but, I knew I was dealing with a coward and prayed and was able to walk away…just as God would in the name of Peace. I never thought I could do this. And I am proud of myself but still hurting inside. I am disappointed by the person. Happy for reaction completely.
